Recruiting the perfect 3E employee

News > Recruiting the perfect 3E employee

Is there such a thing as the perfect employee? Plenty have told me over the years (mostly tongue in cheek) that they are the “perfect employee”

Maybe I’m too cynical but the perfect employee is not easy to find.

The discussion we are having at 3E at the moment is, when we are hiring new staff into our team, what does the perfect 3E employee look like and how do we find them?

So let’s look at the first half of the question, what skill sets and values does the perfect 3E employee need to have?

First of all, they have to be able to meet and truly live up to 3Es STRIVE values – Service, Trust, Relationships, Integrity, Visionary and Excellence.

Do they need to be experienced? Not necessarily – lots of positives (less training, good industry knowledge) but can also be a downside (scarred by previous roles and set in their ways).

Do they need to be a team player? Absolutely. We enjoy a really flat structure as we believe we get the best result for all our staff, partners and clients when everyone in our team has an equal voice.

Do they need to be forward thinking? Definitely. The third of the 3Es is Evolve and all of our team are constantly thinking “what’s next” and how can we improve ourselves and our offering.

Where do we find the perfect 3E employee?

Recruiters, websites, former colleagues, competitors, suppliers, universities, family, friends?

The list is long but in my opinion, there is nothing better than a referral from a trusted source.

Therefore, if you are reading this, you are either in my network or you have received this from someone in my network, which makes you a trusted source!

You may fit the bill for the perfect 3E employee, or know somebody else who does, and for anyone who wants to join the 3E family and add value to our fantastic organisation we’d love to hear from you. Feel free to contact myself or the 3E team at any time for a chat.
